5 Screenshots - Effects/Added

In this shot, I added a glitch effect and some text. This gave an abnormal feel to the sequence. When the glitch effect ends text pops up, and when the glitch pops up again the text disappears. Almost like a transition. Another thing I added was glitch sound effect to make it sound more realistic.

In this shot, I added a glitch effect, text, slow motion and intense music with no background sounds. The main reason for this is that I repeated the same method throughout the beginning is so that the film could be explained without any dialogue needed. The slow motion alongside the intense music created more atmosphere, therefore setting a scene.

In this scene, I added text, slow motion, glitch effects and made sure no background sound was heard, only intense music. I continued with a pattern throughout the story/film, where text would appear for whatever the main character was doing: Running, daily routine, etc. For ADR, running sound effects were added to make it sound more professional and so natural sounds couldn't be heard like in the original shot.

In this screenshot, I added a text typing video next to where the actor was typing. I did this so that whilst the person was typing, there was a typing speech bubble, which is what the person typing would actually see, which also creates suspense to the film. I also added a typing effecting adding to the tying also making it more realistic and true to the story. Another thing I added was a 'message sent' sound effect.

In this scene, I added a text bubble showing what the text said. This was used so that it was more ideal to the viewers watching, also earlier texts were similar to this. Another thing I added was a 'message sent' sound effect. The intense music before this wasn't being played, however, as soon as the message was sent the intense music faded back in.

Involvement in this project

Which part of the project or process are you most proud of?
- The whole editing process. I feel as if the work we filmed and created wasn't up to our potential, however, I feel like the editing made it more bearable.

What was the most difficult part of this project? Did you overcome it? If so, how?
- Overall, I believe that our organisation wasnt good, due to complications and plans.
However, we knew how important this was to complete so we worked hard, ensuring completion.

What lessons have you learnt for your next project?
- I have learnt that its difficult to rely on others, and that for the next project there needs to be a stable schedule in place.
- However, I have expanded on my knowledge with cinematography and what shots suit the scene, so for the next project I do, I will have a better understanding.

If you were to do this project again, what would you change?
- I would want to make sure we have more time to film, as it felt rushed.
This would mean I could focus on the storyline and add more important and interesting scenes.

Will/how will you be sharing this video? To your friends on facebook? To your family on YouTube? If not, why not?
- Personally, I would be happy to share the video with my friends and family, however this project included other actors and they may not feel happy or comfortable with others knowing about the surveillance thriller.
